Why UK Tax May Still Apply

UK tax residents must declare their worldwide income to HMRC. Portugal has a Double Taxation Convention with the UK, which may allow you to claim credit for Portuguese tax already paid. Portugal participates in the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and shares account information with HMRC.
